Join us for our annual National Policy conference on Tuesday, February 20 through Thursday, February 22, 2024. This year our conference will take place virtually.
For 50 years, WIC has delivered quality nutrition and breastfeeding support for American families. NWA remains steadfast in advocating for WIC in all levels of government and raising the voice of WIC providers and families across the country.
The National Policy Conference is NWA’s annual forum to highlight emerging and pressing WIC policy issues and build leadership skills to empower and sustain WIC advocacy at the local level. This year’s policy conference is focused on keeping WIC strong for the next 50 years. As WIC participation rates continue to climb - showing the success of modernization and outreach - it is critical to educate policymakers about the need to fully fund the program. The conference culminates with NWA’s Annual Capitol Hill Education Day on Thursday, February 22, empowering members to virtually engage with Congressional leaders and their staff on WIC's critical services. If you have any questions about the Annual Capitol Hill Education Day, please reach out to NWA’s Public Policy Manager Nell Menefee-Libey at [email protected]
The Conference will start at 11:00 AM EST on Tuesday, February 20 and will end with the Annual Capitol Hill Education Day on Thursday, February 22 at 5:00 pm EST. The Conference will be held virtually.
The Virtual Conference Platform will officially Close on June 21, 2024.
We look forward to bringing forth more resources, support, and encouragement to our members and stakeholders to help redefine what the future of WIC should be.
