The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is hiring an Assistant Director, Community Nutrition Services, a key leadership role at the Division of Child and Family Well-Being. The Assistant Director oversees North Carolina’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). The Assistant Director directs the activities of the Community Nutrition Services Section, which administers WIC, the WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, the Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program, and the CACFP, manages approximately $380 million in federal funds, and includes 83 permanent FTEs.
