The WIC Breastfeeding Peer Helper is responsible for assisting WIC participants in the implementation and continuation of breastfeeding; ongoing contact with the pregnant or breastfeeding participants, both face to face and by telephone; providing information within your scope of practice; assist with classes, support groups, breast pump insurance and refer participants to the Breastfeeding Coordinator or WIC Health Professional as necessary.
