The Health Program Specialist I (HPS I) works under the general direction of the Chief, WIC Change Management Section, Staff Services Manager II (SSM I). The HPS I works on a team that ensures that WIC’s Management Information System and related technology tools meet the needs of the end users. The position serves as a skilled expert in the Clinic and Admin functionality of the WIC WISE system, as well as the California WIC Application. The HPS I interact with internal and external users and WIC management to identify needs and improvements to WIC WISE and the WIC App; performs and coordinates User Acceptance Testing; and assists with facilitating a committee of external WIC WISE users.
