You would work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide in person and over the phone WIC nutrition services. Provides nutrition services such as low risks, high risk , and medically high-risk certifications, follow ups, mid-certifications, lactation education/support, food package change appointments and answering client questions. This position conducts nutritional assessments to determine nutritional risks, provides evidence-based individualized nutrition and breastfeeding counseling and education, and provide referrals to other programs and services. Use of the electronic medical record to accurately document assessments, care plans, and notes and assign tailored food packages benefits for clients. This position also supports the WIC administrative team, by monitoring and analyzing WIC Program operations for quality assurance with program policies and procedures through conducting quarterly medical record reviews. Assists in quality improvement efforts and staff trainings. Attending staff meetings, conferences, special nutrition workshops, seminars, and training as scheduled. Promotes WIC though participation in outreach activities. This position requires Florida Dietetic Licensure, WIC experience is preferred. This position is 40 hours per week, located in person.
