We are currently seeking a Public Health Nutritionist to be a part of our team. The Public Health Nutritionist performs nutritional assessments, identifies nutritional risks, provides nutritional counseling and nutrition education, and assigns/issues food and nutritional benefits to prenatal, postpartum, breastfeeding women, infants and children from birth to five years of age. The Public Health Nutritionist is a licensed health professional that provides nutrition services to clients ranging from low risk to medical high risk. The position requires: 1). At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with the major course of study in nutritional science, community nutrition, clinical nutrition or dietetics in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Association and Florida Chapter 468. 2). A current/active license, in good standing, as a Dietitian or Nutritionist in the State of Florida issued by the Division of Medical Quality Assurance.
